A special communique issued by the Commissioner of Elections says that it is illegal to hold functions at Temple Trees utilizing state property at a time the Presidential elections has been called. Further if transfers, promotions or recruitment of public servants were scheduled to be effective within this period such programmes must be postponed.
The mobile services, exhibitions and openings which are stimulated with the participation of political sectors also must be stopped as their political views are expressed in such instances.
